The Score is the focus of episode seven of Disney Gallery. The viewer meets Ludwig Göransson who has composed music for Black Panther (2018), Creed (2015) and Creed II (2018).
To begin his work Göransson made an order for various recorders. He would play them along with guitars, and piano to piece together music for the Mandalorian.
After this work he took recordings to Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni to hear. Once Göransson got approval, he went to the next step to create music scores.
Also we get to see Ludwig Göransson Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni with an orchestra who would record all this music. And among the musicians playing is Göransson’s wife who plays the violin.
I found the sounds Göransson got from the instruments he chose and the translation to orchestra instruments neat. He was able to take existing Star Wars music and make new music that is both very fresh, cool, and honors the old.
This is not the most exciting of the Disney Gallery episodes that look behind the scenes of the Mandalorian. However, it is still good as I wrote and other episodes of this series have made me feel the same way. I’ll see how the last episode is and I will write a wrap up of this first season of Disney Gallery too.
